Duplicates in Entourage Calendar

For some reason, many of my calendar entries (all of which are not in
a category) have been duplicated many, many times (~30). I don't
believe it was due to syncing with my Palm Treo though. So here are my
questions:

1. How could this have happened?
2. How can I delete these entries so that there is only one?
3. How can I prevent this from occurring?

Sync recurrent events through SyncServices (to iCal). I believe it's a
known bug.
2. How can I delete these entries so that there is only one?

Make a custom view displaying all the events in this calendar and sort
by name. You can then easely select all the duplicates and delete them

I don't have any good tip for you there :-(
I don't even know whether it's a bug in Office, iCal or the SyncServices
themselves :-\
