Does somebody knwo how to rip a DVD, which software program do you have to
use? I want one song of the Stones (it's on one of the "live" DVD's...)

There are many applications out there that can extract movies or sound from a
DVD. FFMPegX is one of them. None of them though will bypass the copy
protection or DVD zoning. You can only use them on DVDs that are not
protected.

Quite true... but if I know the answer, I tend to send replies even if the
message hasn't quite been posted in a relevant newsgroup...
Some people have a hard time understanding exactly how nntp works...
