E-mail deleting

I am new to Mac and the use of Entourage for my e-mail program. I have a
Mac OSX, and Entourage Version 10.1.6. I would like to know if there is
someway to reset preferences with regard to how the blue highlighted area
works. When I highlight an e-mail to be deleted, and press the delete
button, the highlighted area jumps down to the bottom of the unopened
e-mails. I like to read the newest e-mails first and would like the
highlighted area to go to the next newest e-mail instead of jumping to the
bottom of the unopened e-mail. I get so much junk mail that is may go down
30 or more. I appreciate some advise. Thank you, J Hoppe

Are you using the Junk Mail Filter. That will help a lot in reducing clutter
in your Inbox. See the section on organizing your mail to get you started.

Delete should delete the message. Not sure what is happening with you. Use
the space bar to scroll through the message and go to the next one.

Check out the Getting Started page for some additional tips that might make
using Entourage more enjoyable.
