e-mail going haywire -- help!!!!

This morning I noticed that two of my incoming messages had random
links to nytimes.com in them, when I know that was not the original
message that was sent from people I know. Then all of a sudden, all
of the saved messages in my inbox had bits and pieces of this text
instead of the original messages -- everything since yesterday and
before. Then, after some time, all of the messages were replaced with
more random text from one of my old saved messages. Some are just
blank.

Does anyone have any idea what might have caused this? I am using
Entourage version 9.0.1 from Office for Mac 2001. I tried to run
Norton AntiVirus, but it keeps making my computer freeze up. I'm on
an iMac using OS 9.1.

Aaarrgh!!! Please help me and I'll be your best friend!!!

Try rebuilding the database. Quit Entourage, and then restart Entourage
holding down the Option key. When the Rebuild dialog box comes up, choose
to do a Typical Rebuild.

It is also in your best interest to install the latest Office 2001 update:
* Microsoft Office 2001 Combined Update 9.0.4
