E-mail Merge Outlook 2002 Subject Line Missing Plain Text

I have sent several e-mails using the merge to e-mail feature through
Word, and I have never been able to have the subject line show in the
e-mail, despite filling out the subject line. To fill out the subject
line, I have to save a copy of the e-mails in outbox and disconnect
the internet connections and copy and paste the subject info in every
e-mail manually.

Is there another way. This appears to be a Word/Outlook glitch.

Please describe the exact steps that you're following. I've never seen this
problem.
