E-mail search indexing and system transfer

I've just used the OS X system transfer to move from a Macbook to a lovely new Macbook Pro.

All of my Office 2008 components seem to have transitioned just fine, but my Entourage install has developed one quirk. The indexing that the search-for-message functions use doesn't seem to have come over and I can't find a way to rebuild it.

When I use the search bar (including Advanced Find) to look for messages in my inbox, it only pulls results from messages I've received since I've made the transfer. Messages that pre-date it, while they're in my inbox and meet the criteria, are ignored.

Is there a way to force Entourage to regenerate the indexing for these messages so that I can search my full mail archives again? I'm something of a packrat with e-mail and robust search is vital to my workflow.

did you go to PREFERENCES-->GENERAL PREFERENCES-->SPOTLIGHT in
Entourage and turn it on??? There is a button there to force an index
rebuild as well.

Thank you - that did the trick. Spotlight was turned on (from the previous system), but I didn't know about the rebuild button.
