E2008 Viewing pane font

Hi,

Anyone know how to set the default font size in the viewing pane? It is
considerably larger than in E2004 and I'd like to make it a bit smaller and
can't find a setting.

PS w/Leopard 10.5.1, no consistent notify sounds, cal and contact sync
working.
