Easy way to switch from Entourage to Apple products (Mail,Address Book, iCalendar)?

I'm finally going to make the switch and dump Entourage. Particularly after
Tiger's release, and Microsoft's decision not to support equal civil rights
in Washington, I don't think I have any more excuses for sticking with
Entourage.
Could someone tell me if there is a simple way to transfer all of my
Entourage data to the corresponding Apple products? Thanks.

Just drag & Drop - drag mails from entourage into apple mail, calendar
events into ical.

I've tried dragging mails accross and it doesn't work. In case I am
missing something please try this yourself and describe exactly where
and how you drag.

You can drag and drop events from E to iCal but all of the detail like
times and alarms is left behind.

I wouldn't be interested in any of this if E was iSyncable accross my
desktop and laptop (easily with out fiddling with flakey third party
apps) and if E was going to be spotlight compatible in a realistic
timescale.

I don't think the drag and drop method works with e-mails. Barry, have you
tried this? I'm not sure about the import process in Tiger, as I still need
to buy a copy, but in older versions of Mail, there's an option under
File>Import Mailboxes to import from Entourage. Alternatively, you can drag
your Entourage maillboxes to the desktop, and they will be exported as .mbox
files, which, again, you can have Mail import fairly easily.
As for iCal, again, there's an Entourage import option under File>Import.
Note however that it won't import categories; instead, it will create a
calendar of its own called Entourage, which will contain all the Entourage
events. You'll have to manually re-assign categories (calendars) to the
imported events.
The Address Book import works quite well, using Barry's drag & drop method.
Note however that some obscurer fields may not translate properly.
Another good method would be to use Paul Berkowitz' script collection called
Export-Import Entourage, which you can download here:

_136.sit
It's actually shareware, but there's a free trial period, if I remember
correctly.
