Editing Enterprise fields / formulas

I've got similar question concerning enterprise fields.

I haven't figured out how to edit the predefined fields (e.g. Datum1 in the
German Version). The approach in 2003 was to edit them via the checked out
enterprise.global.

I also haven't figured out how to access a list of all defined fields from
within the formular editor. In Project 2003 they were listed in the formular
editor of Project Pro Client. In the formular editor of PWA this list seems
to be missing.

Thanks.

Thomas

I also added this question to an old post, but apparently it only shows up
page 38 of this forum.

I am not sure I understand your first request.

For you second requiest, the best approach to build a formula with the
ability to easily reference defined fields, is to build the formual in the
client and then either:
1) Save that formula in the client and convert to an enterprise formula
(there is a button to do this in 2007)
2) Copy the formula once you are happy with it directly into the formula
field when defining the enterprise field via PWA.

Thanks for the quick reply. You sort of answered both questions.

I managed to add fields for tasks and ressources from within the client, but
I wasn't able to do so for project fields. If I open the project tab from the
custom field window there is only one field displayed (One that I added
within PWA), which I'm not able to edit. I also cant't add new fields.

Is there a way to edit project fields the same way like tasks and ressources?

You my have recognized neither my first language nor my project version is
english. I hope you don't mind.

I believe you have it figured out now. There is no way that I am aware of
to edit project custom fields in the client in the new 2007 version.

Sorry,

Jonathan
