Editing text DURING a presentation

I've seen this done before in a PowerPoint game of Jeopordy where th
author had text boxes that you could edit and change your scor
-during- the presentation. I was just wondering if anyone knew how h
did this?

thanks!

You can insert a 'text box' using View | Toolbars | Control Toolbox | select
the Textbox tool, click and drag where desired. Note that this text box is
a control text box and not a standard PowerPoint display text box.

If using dual screen mode, then a standard text box's text can be altered
from Normal edit view, on the primary monitor, while in an active slide show
interruption.

The text within a box can also be manipulated using code.

Thanks! I have two followup questions now. How can I change th
controlbox so that it has a transparent background and no boarder?
Also, is it possible to link the text from control boxes to cells i
Excel? Come to think of it, is there any way to link text fro
PowerPoint to cells in Excel?

Thanks again
