Eeek! I accidentally "cleared" an email. Help.

This is an important email. It may be needed to take an unpaying client to
court. I had printed it out and noticed it doesn't print the exact date..
Just the month. So I had highlighted to date line and hit "delete" and the
whole email now appears to be gone. It's not in the "sent" folder anymore
and it's not in the deleted item or junk mail. I haven't quit the program
yet. Is there anyway to get it back? Or is lost forever?

BTW: How to get it to print out the full date and not just the month and
year?

Unless you used a script to nuke the message, it is in your Deleted Items.
However, if you selected delete when the message was in Deleted Items it is
gone.

See if you have unread only or flagged only selected in View for Deleted
Items.

I didn't used a script and I didn't select delete when it was in the deleted
items. It was in the "sent" folder when I hit the "delete" key. I double
and triple checked the deleted items and I don't have the unread only or the
flagged only selected.

Any other ideas/suggestions?

I just double checked by deleting a message in the Sent folder and it was in
the Deleted Items folder.

Sorry, I have no clue as to what else to suggest.

Ok, I did think of one other thing to try. Create a custom view for this
email. You can search for the sender or the subject date sent, date received
etc. Search in All Folders.

I see you've since discovered the message, but I have a theory for why you
weren't seeing it. The Deleted Items folder has, by default, a "Received"
column but no "Sent" column (although one can be added). If you were
searching for this message by date, it would have been sorted all the way at
the end because it was never actually Received by you.
