Eliminating Confirmation to Delete Blocks

How do I turn off the confirmation to delete blocks of text in Word? I’ve
just install Office Pro XP on my new computer and I can't find this option to
turn this feature off. I never had this problem on my old system and I can't
imagine it has anything to do with my system. It is a pain in the rear every
time I go to delete a word or line of text it wants me to enter Y or N.
Please help, and MS you should make the option easer to find.

Thanks in advance for anyone’s help on this one, It’s the first time I’ve
been stumped with Word.

On the Tools menu, click Options. Click the General tab. Make sure the
options referring to WordPerfect is cleared, and then click OK.

Stefan,

Thank you very much, how did you ever figure out that one. I would of never
guessed it had anything to do with Word Perfect and even the description only
mentions WP help.

Thanks Again,
Gary

I'm glad I could help. I can't take credit for coming up with the
solution, though; I learned it in the Word newsgroups. My guess is
that someone with experience from (old versions of?) WordPerfect
recognized the behavior and therefore was able to see the connection
with the WordPerfect options.

I definitely agree with you that Word Help doesn't accurately describe
what the WordPerfect options does. The options even cause trouble with
the indents of numbered lists!
