Eliminating Single Quote Before Equals Sign

S

Steveinneed

I am using CONCATENATE to make equations and functions in Excel 2000. When I
concatenate ='C:\... to other text and then save as a value I get '='C:\...,
which is treated as text instead of as an equation. Trying to change '= to =
doesn't work because the leading ' isn't recognized. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Steve

try using the Indirect Function instead

+indirect(Concatenate(text1, text2,text3...))

The text1 etc will need quotes " " around it if you want to use an = sign
