Email address blanks out when selecting alternate address

When adding email addresses to a message, after a select a contact from my address book, I sometimes want to choose one of the other email addresses I have setup for them. If i right-click on the contact and choose a different email address, the address blanks out in the To: line, leaving the contacts name. This results in an invalid address in the To: line, preventing me from being able to send the message (send button then grays out).

The only other alternative I have found is manually typing the alternate address. The method of right clicking on the contact name/address in the To, CC, or BCC line and choosing a different email address does not work for me.

Is this a known issue? Is it just my client? Please let me know.

When adding email addresses to a message, after a select a contact
from my address book, I sometimes want to choose one of the other
email addresses I have setup for them. If i right-click on the
contact and choose a different email address, the address blanks out
in the To: line, leaving the contacts name. This results in an
invalid address in the To: line, preventing me from being able to
send the message (send button then grays out).

This is a known issue and has been forwarded to Microsoft for examination.
The only other alternative I have found is manually typing the
alternate address. The method of right clicking on the contact
name/address in the To, CC, or BCC line and choosing a different
email address does not work for me.

I address my messages this way:

Because I'm a touch typist, I try to avoid using the mouse to select
addresses. By typing a few letters of the contact's name in the To field
(e.g. "Smi" for "Smith") I am presented with all matches in an automatic
drop down list. The more of the name you type the shorter the list
becomes because you'll have fewer matches.

Then I use the up/down arrows to select the contact and use the
left/right arrows to select the alternate address.

Hitting Tab selects the highlighted address and sends me to the next
next line to add another address.

Hitting Return instead of Tab takes me to the Subject line to begin the
message.

Hope this helps!
