email being moved to local inbox

one of my users has entourage 2004, connected to exchange 2007.
everything was working fine, then suddenly his emails started going to
the local inbox not his exchange inbox. the exchange server settings
are correct, and there are no rules set up. if anyone has any ideas i
would appreciate it.

Did you also check the Mailing List Manager (also in the Tools menu)?

Check the mailing list manager.
This happens if for one reason or another rules or MLM get reset (eg:
rebuilding the database),
