Email: change location, change smtp server?

P

Peter Minter

I am using Entourage 2004 on an iBook running OS10.3.6

After years of dailing-in to my university account to connect to the net, my
household recently engaged a private broadband company for net access. I now
access the university network at work, and the broadband network from home.

I can RECEIVE all my pop email, from various accounts, via either systems,
but am having to manually retype smtp server addresses to SEND any mail,
depending on the location I am in.

Now, I can change my server info via Location preferences, but this does not
change the Entourage account info directly... does anyone know how this
might be possible?

Can I change Entourage account information by changing a "Location"
preference? Or this there an even easier solution I am not thinking of? I am
getting tired of changing my smtp server info everytime I move from work to
home, etc.

Thanks in advance

Get my "SMTP Location X" script from

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

It does all that.
