Last night, I'd backed up my entire hard drive (135 GB worth). Fortunately.
This a.m., I went to upgrade to Office 2004 from the latest version of Office
X. What I use most of Office is Entourage. Before Office X, I'd been using
Outlook Express (under OS 9.2.2), imported my email into Entourage X.
Today, after it took an hour to install Office X (most of the time spent
importing my identity), I made the mistake (I guess) of telling it to delete my
old Office X applications and prefs. It deleted all of the email folders I'd
originally imported into Entourage X from Outlook Express :-(
Now I'm having to wipe my G5's hard drive, do another Carbon Copy clone
of my data from my backup Firewire hard drive, do *another* install of
Office 2004, but I'm supposing *not* deleting the old Office X applications
and files. :-(
