Email from message

I am new to using enterouge. I am trying to configure entourage so that
it will pull in from two different email accounts. The issue I am
having is that when i send an email from entourage in the "from"
section it reads "Office 2004 Test Drive User" and then lists my email
address. I have used the remove office program to remove the test
drive. I also just got all of the online updates. When I send out an
email message, it still has the test drive message. Any suggestions???

When you run the Remove Office program, files are not removed until you
click the Remove button on the Remove Microsoft Office screen. To remove
the Test Drive, on the Results screen, click the Microsoft Office 2004
(including Test Drive) check box to select the Test Drive, and then click
Continue. In the Choose which components to remove screen, click the Remove
the Microsoft Office 2004 Test Drive folder check box to remove the Test
Drive, and then click Continue.

I tried this again. I'm pretty sure I did it as you had described the
first time. This time, when I got to the choose which components to
remove, there were only the choices Remove Microsoft Office 2004
(including a second box for don't remove files I have created), and
there was Remove selected office 2004 system files. There was no
reference to the Test Drive.

This is strange. Did you empty the trash?

Yes, I emptied the trash. It still sends with my emails that I am a
Office 2004 Test Drive user. The only way I have found to get around
this is to create a separate identity. Then and only then does this
seem to eliminate the problem. It just leaves me with trying to get all
of my email over the my second identity.

Use the Export feature under File and select "Items to an Entourage
archive". This will create an .rge file that can easily be imported into
another Identity.

FWIW, this is the only report of this problem that I have seen on the list.
Aren't you the lucky one? :)

I think I fixed it. I went in to the Tools section and clicked on
accounts and then edit. This revealed under personal information it had
down as my name as 2004 Test User. I changed this and it seems to have
fixed the problem. I have my fingers crossed.

That's great. After I sent my reply I realized that I should have suggest to
check Account info. At least, now you know about .rge files. Great for
backups and much smaller than making a duplicate of the Identity folder.
