Email going to wrong recepient

K

Kevin O''Keefe

I have used entourage for 9 months without any problem. Over the last
couple weeks I have had a number of occasions where emails adressed to
one party go to another party who I sent a different email at close to
the same time. I checked the email adresses and they were correct.
It's almost like the emails get stuck to an email next to them going
out. I am not certain if the intended recepient gets an email and the
unintended recipient gets just a copy or the original.

Has anyone had such a problem? Is there a fix?

Thanks much.

It is possibly an early sign of mild database corruption.

Hold down the option key when starting Entourage and take the first option
('typical rebuild'). If this doesn¹t resolve the problems, then try an
ŒAdvanced Rebuild¹.

Please, please, everyone; try to remember to state what version of OS &
Office you are using. It makes it so much easier to give relevant advice
when we know your environment.

I've never heard of such a thing. You say the messages in the sent items
look OK?

It could be database corruption. You could try a rebuild. It could also be
weird interaction between Entourage and your SMTP server. If you know what
software and version is being used, that would be helpful. Or the address of
the server.
