Email Stuck

I received an email with an attachment from a friend. Whenever I click on it,
it freezes Entourage. Even right clicking, and performing any of those
options freezes Entourage.

I have rebuilt the database(plain, and expert versions), tried navigating with
the menus, and arrows, even tried to remove the item with BBEdit (That
killed the database, and I had to replace it with a backup. Might have just
done that wrong).

My question is, how can I access the email, without using Entourage, and get
it out of there? Please send a reply to my email at
"[email protected]". That makes it very much easier. Thanks so
much.

First thing to try - turn off the preview pane, select the message and drag
it to the desktop. You should be able to open the message in BBEdit from
there.

Then, delete it from entourage (again, without the preview pane showing).

If you can't access the mail even with the preview pane turned off this
indicates some deep seated database corruption that the rebuild routines
aren't fixing. In this case, the only option may be to start a new identity
and recover what you can from this one.

Before doing that, make sure you are completely up to date with the release
of entourage you are running - you posted from the web, so I can't see what
version you are using and you haven't said. Check here for details of where
