The email test in Outlook 2003 fails if the firewall in Windows XP is on. I

Allow Outlook.exe at the firewall.

I did this earlier. It will not pass the test with Outlook allowed. Doesn't

It defeats the purpose of the email client to not except it in the
firewall.
