Emailing Calendar Event

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Is it possible to email a Calendar Event as an attachment thru Yahoo Mail?
(I exported the Event to .rge file on desktop but then the file is grayed-out when I try to attach the file in Yahoo mail)
Thanks for any help.

Try placing the file in a folder and zipping the folder.
