Emails being downloaded to user's inbox, not staying on Exchangeserver

Three of us (three different machines) are using Entourage 2004 11.2.1, on
OS 10.3.9, but only one of us is having the following problem:

Starting two days ago, T's emails started to download to his computer-side
Inbox, removing them from the Exchange server completely. He didn't even
notice it until yesterday afternoon, when he realized he hadn't received any
emails for a day and a half. None of us ever check the user inbox, only our
exchange account inbox. He went online and checked his email through
webmail, and there were still no new messages.

I checked all his settings and couldn't see anything odd. Then he finally
checked the user Inbox and found the messages, which was good, but we have
no idea how it got changed, or how to change it back. He needs to use the
exchange server for email, not download his messages. All of his exchange
account settings match mine on my machine, so I am really at a loss.

Any ideas?

I asked abou this last year, still no idea why it happens on one mac
and not the other. It is really ticking me off that it starts pulling
all my mail down from our server onto my eMac. I would use somethign
else, but I don't have that option for work!
I wonder if it has something to do with a rule, it is odd that it only
grabs messages from one folder?

Sean, I too started having this issue and have not ben able to find a
solution. Have you found a way to keep your mail on the exchange
server?
