emails deleting from various sub folders

I'm running Entourage 2004 on my MacBook. The emai i'm using is
hotmail and I'm getting all my emails in my Entourage via POP Server.

Problem:

My emails (old and new) from my sub folders (Inbox, Saved, sent mail,
etc) is being deleted everytime that folder is opened. It holds true
for in my Inbox. Weird thing is, it doens't happen to all my emails,
just some. Regardless if it's old/new/in my contact list/etc.

My junk filter is off.

example. If I open my sent mail sub folder, Entourage will move all
the emails in this folder to my Deleted Items Sub Folder in about 30
seconds. Regardless of how old the email is, it can be 2 days old to 2
years old sent mails.

The same holds true for other folders that I open.

Thank you all in advance for your help!!!

I noticed that there were others who had similar problems:

"Hotmail messages deleting themselves"

I guess I'm having the same problems, but I have no RULES set up so,
his solution did not help me.

Just to be sure, check the Mailing List Manager. Many users do not
understand that the Mailing List Manager (MLM) is a user friendly approach
to Rules which allows you to set specialized actions for incoming list
messages (like the Entourage Talk list). It's too easy to set up a MLM rule
by accident, when you are marking a message as 'not junk' - the wording of
that dialog is ambiguous to say the least. Look for MLM entries under the
tools menu. Check "move messages to folder". If there is, delete the rule
and all should be back to normal.

Hi Diane,

I just checked and I didn't have anything in the MLM.

I did it again by accident, I clicked on a subfolder and it deleted
everything in that folder.

Thanks,

Ren

I don't use Hotmail so I'm not sure about what to check, but I would look at
settings on the web for the account. Let us know what you find.
