Hi,
After a search, when clicking on one of the emails in the results list, that email disappears! It's like a cruel joke. I can watch the number of total emails diminish by one, as I click on one of the search results that instantly vanishes.
Any ideas on how to fix this??
Thanks,

Two questions:

1. Do your search terms include the criterion for Unread only?

2. In your Preferences, under Read, do you have a checkmark in the box,
"Mark messages as read when displayed in the Preview Pane"?

If you have both, when the message gets marked as read it will disappear
from your search. You can get around this in several ways:

a. Include Unread mail in your search.
b. Uncheck the box in preferences.
c. Set a long time in Preferences where it says to mark as read after
"n" seconds, e.g., 120 seconds, which will give you time to read the
message before it disappears.
d. Close the Preview Pane when the search appears, so the messages are
not displayed unless you open them.
