Emails going directly to Inbox in "Folders on My Computer"

This is the second time that when opening Entourage and getting my
emails from my work Exchange server that for some reason they seem to
forward to the Inbox on My Computer instead of staying in the Inbox
that syncs with the server. It happened a few months ago and my IT
couldn't figure it out and so they had me start over and recreate a
new identity. I really hate starting over since it doesn't keep the
projects and entourage settings. I checked and I don't have any rules
and am not sure what other settings to use. Any ideas?

Check the Rules and the Mailing Lists manager. They sometimes gets
messed-up (usually after a database rebuild) and the destination folder
needs to be corrected to get back to normal.

This is a common question here, so it surprises me that IT would ask
you to start from scratch when the fix is so simple:

You have a Rule or Mailing List Manager that is mistakenly sending the
email to the Inbox rather than where it should be going. Check your
settings.
