Emails not sync'ing over ISDN or Broadband

Hi,

I was hoping someone could help or point me in the right
direction.

I have a user that I have configured to dial up from
home, I've also configured his outlook so that he can
work offline. This is the strange bit. He works fine over
a normal analougue phone line (standard modem dialup) but
as soon as he tries to sync over an ISDN link the send
and recieve box appears to hang. There is no progress if
you just leave it.

Any ideas on why this is happening?

Are you using VPN? Can he ping the Exchange server by name once connected?
