Emails show date of 2018

Has anyone seen this problem? I have a couple of people using Entourage, and when someone sends them an email using Lotus Notes, sometimes the email gets dated 2018. If I have these entourage users log into mail2web.com to view their email, it shows the correct date. So it's something to do with the way Entourage is interpreting or reading messages sent using Lotus Notes. Any ideas on how to fix?

It's possible Lotus Notes is not generating valid Date headers. If you turn
on Internet Headers or view the message source, what do you see for Date:?

I had a user pull up the message header in mail2web and it didn't show any dates of 2018. I don't use Entourage myself, so I'm not sure how she can pull up the message headers from there. But it should be the same in either place right?

Look under Message in the Menu bar --> Source or Internet Headers.

In 2004 it's under View.

I have one client who has this problem. The sent date in a recent email is Friday, August 3, 2018 11:36 AM. If I look in the Internet Header, the date is correctly displayed as 10-Apr-2008 11:36:49 CDT

X-Mailer: Lotus Notes Release 7.0 August 18, 2005

Since the date in the header info is good, it looks like an Entourage issue to me. I'd be glad to send you the entire header.

Thanks,

FWIW, in the (few) messages I have received that display a date in 2018, the
DATE field of the Internet header was of the from mm/dd/yyyy or dd/mm/yy.
Messages whose date were displayed correctly had a DATE field that included
the month in text form, e.g., 15 Apr 2008.
