I have a couple fonts I've purchased. I have created a template, using these
fonts, in Word 2002 SP-1, on windows XP. I created a file using that
template, and using the "Embed fonts" option.
When I open this document on another PC running Word 2000, both fonts show
up properly. However, when I open this document on another PC running Word
2002 (either SP-1 or SP-3), one of the fonts shows up .. but the other does
NOT. Both are embedded; both have a license that says embedding is allowed.
Yet only one font shows up in Word2002.
Where to investigate further? Especially since it all works fine using Word
2000; it's just Word 2002 that is giving me grief. Have the font handling
changed, between Word2000 and Word 2002?
If anything, I would expect the reverse - that the document, since it was
created in Word 2002, would not look right in the older Word 2000. Yet the
opposite is true.
