Embedded hyperlinks in EntouRAGE

Sorry to come across as blunt, but is it really true MS is forcing
it's Entourage-users to use hyperlinks from IE and that I have to use
an Applescript to be able to embed hyperlinks ?

That's ridiculous... I've been testdriving some emailclients in X now
(Eudora, Mozilla, Mail etc.) and Entourage seems the most complete....
only for one of the most basic things about email....

Please tell me there's another way around <the brackets> !

Do you mean that clicking on a link in an email would force IE to pop up? If
that's the question, the answer is no. It launches the default internet
browser (see your "Internet" preference pane, "Web" tab).

This is an older thread, so I'm not sure if it was ever resolved, but I
think I have the same question. Let me see if I can restate it more
clearly:

Suppose I find a really cool site using Safari, my default browser. I would
like to send a link to a friend with a display string that's different from
the URL itself. (E.g., "To see a really cool page, click here"--where
"click here" is the hyperlink that points to http://www.somesite.com.)

The only way I've found to do this is to open the page in Internet Explorer,
then use one of the "from IE..." choices in the "Insert>Hyperlink" menu.

Is there NO way to convince Entourage to use alternate display texts for
hyperlinks without using Internet Explorer?

Thanks...
