Embedded sounds

PPT will not embed sounds (smaller than 100K) downloaded from the internet
into my PPT presentation. Has anyone figured out how to remedy this problem?

What kinds of sounds are they. The only sounds that PPT will embed are
WAV files. If they are something else, they cannot be embedded without
converting them to WAV format.

Only WAV files are embedded. Are these WMA or MP3 files?

I think the default size to embed is 100k
