emoticons in outlook 2002

Is it possible to use emoticons in my emailing? If so how
do I do it?

Change the format of your email (written using Outlook 2000
as the example):

Open Outlook
Select TOOLS from the menu
Select OPTIONS...
Select the MAIL FORMAT tab
Select HTML

Open a NEW MESSAGE
Click into the body of the message
Now select INSERT from the menu
Select PICTURE...
Browse to your emoticons and select one

when i said emoticons i meant like in messenger where
you and a smiley face appears :-( like that. it
should be same i dont like going through all those steps
call me lazy but thats what i think, anyway thanks for the

Nope, sorry. Not without a 3rd party app:

There's also no way of guaranteeing that they will be received correctly
either.

If you are using Word as the editor, these will show automatically when
inserting the Colon and end Paren such as

Hmmm...I am using word as the editor and no smiley faces
I also tried the long version (nikki's) and I don't seem to have any emoticons to browse to - would I have to download them from somewhere or do they come bundled in Outlook or Word?
