MY Windows (Outlook) friends send me emails with little smiley faces.

How do I do that using Entourage?

Unless you are 9 years old, you don't want to do that. These people who
send you emoticons probably also dot their i's with little hearts and write
html email with some purple script font. They are not your friends.

And anyway, you can't send emoticons in Entourage except by tediously
pasting an image into a message, or possibly finding some special font that
has those symbols.

Just use the tried and true ascii versions 8^)

unicode has a few emoticon-like characters. If you have the keyboard flag
icon in the menu bar, you can choose 'character palette' there, and scroll
through all the unicode characters available.

However, I find using simple ascii emoticons is more than adequate :)
