Enable/Disable field

Hello,

In previous versions of Word (I'm using Word 2003 now) I have been able to
gray out a field so that users don't need to fill it out depending on what
previous options they have chosen. For some reason though, in 2003 when you
set the textbox enabled property to false it doesn't gray it out but it also
doesn't allow you to input anything in the field. I could set visible to
false but then that section of the form will just look blank. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Axe

I really need to start tinkering more before I post lol. Anyways, I guess I
was confusing the Enabled property of the textbox with the Enabled property
of a label. The Enabled property for a label does automcatically gray out the
text but the one for Textbox doesn't. Therefore, I just set the Enabled
property of the textbox to Disabled and the Backstyle property to
fmBackStyleTransparent to make it match the background of the form. Sweet!
