Tools | Options | View | End with Black Slide

It's a toggle that you can check or uncheck...

How can I get a presentaion to close automatically. ie not have to click to
exit.

I am viewing the prestentation within a web browser.

with the box unchecked I get a black screen with the message

click on screen to restart the presentation

any info appreciated

Ahhhh, the web browser is an added variable.

Are you viewing the actual PPT file in the browser, or did you save your
PPT file as a web page?

Hi Steve,

Try this:
Click on Tools, Options, uncheck the End with Black Slide
box. Click on Slide Show, Set Up Show, select Presented
by Speaker and DO NOT check loop continuously. Insert a
final slide at the end of your presentation and set the
slide transition to automatically advance after 0 seconds.
