ENT 2004 - Can receive but am unable to send from one account

I¹ve upgraded from ENT X to ENT 2004 . Following the upgrade, my home e-mail
account is working fine (sending and receiving). Unfortunately, while I can
receive e-mail from my work e-mail account (POP) while at home, I am unable
to send using this account. Every time I try, I receive the following
message:
Error: An operation on the server timed out. The server may be down,
overloaded, or there may be too much traffic.
Explanation: Mail could not be sent. Account Name: ³Work Email²
Error: -3259

However, If I try to send the exact same message immediately afterwards
using ENT X (which I haven¹t uninstalled yet), it works fine. The account
information all carried over during the upgrade to ENT 2004 and I¹ve
reentered it again just to be sure. My advanced sending options are
identical in both ENT X and ENT 2004. I¹ve run the various database checks
and rebuilds offered by ENT 2004 and nothing has made a difference.

I¹m stumped and would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!
