Ent 2004 dumping attachments on desktop

Installed Office 2004 yesterday. Entourage insists on dumping
attachments on my desktop and then leaves them there even after the
messages have been deleted and trash emptied. I¹ve looked everywhere I
can think of to stop this, but I¹m striking out. I know two others who
installed it at the same time and they aren¹t having this problem.

Look for a Rule (Tools > Rules) that is saving your attachments to the
desktop.

Entourage does not separate attachments from messages without being told to
do so specifically.

Either a rule, or a script triggered by a rule, is saving the attachments.

Trashed all data, then started over by reimporting from Mail. No more
problem. Must have picked up something that was corrupted in Ent X.
Starting to grow on me. I think Mail is history until they improve it.
