causes system to crash (at the point where address book
loads). Disabling ent conduit and syncing to all but the
address book works well. Adding address book conduit to
sync or overwrite crashes system. Using Palm IIIc w/ 3.5
Palm OS and Palm Desktop 4.1

Same problem as the one described below. Recently upgraded from Mac OS
10.2.4 to 10.2.8, which may or may not be be signficant.
But since then, I can't sync off my Mac PowerBook as Conduit Manager
crashes as soon as the addresses start to sync. (I have it configured
for Entourage overwrites handheld.) I have reinstalled the Palm
Desktop software (in which Conduit Manager is bundled) and reinstalled
Entourage Conduit, thinking that it would cure the problem. No such
luck.
The problem definitely isn't the handheld since it syncs just fine
with the PC at my office. The problem is restricted to the Mac, which
is otherwise the machine I prefer to work on.
This used to work just fine on the Mac. It's really screwing up my
life as I've grown completely dependent on transfering data between
the PowerBook and the Handspring. I called Palm phone support ($20
shot right there) and they think it's a Microsoft issue. However, at
$245 a shot for Microsoft phone support, I don't think I'm going to be
dialing them anytime soon.
The list of people with this problem just keeps growing. Help!

Ta-da! I solved my problem. This solution may work for you. I
downloaded the latest version of the Entourage Conduit from the
Mactopia web site. That seemed to do the trick.
I previously tried reinstalling the Entourage Conduit from my Palm
Installers folder, but that essentially was just reinstalling the old
version of the installer repeatedly. The new conduit, however, is
working.
It's possible that Microsoft hasn't yet developed a conduit for
Jaguar, but if you're using an older version of OS-X, this may work
for you.

The conduit you downloaded from MacTopia is the one developed for Jaguar,
and was released with Office 10.1.2 when Jaguar (OS 10.2.) came out. It also
works in Panther (OS 10.3).

Actually, the one that is currently posted on Mactopia was released
concurrently with the Office X 10.1.4 update (Exchange Update) in August.
