entorage x and panther

I just updated my g4 powerbook to Panther. Now Entorage x
ocassionally gets hung up when trying to automatically check my mail.
I have it set to check every 3 minutes. When it is hung up it shows
the spinning status bar at the bottom right of the screen with "0 of
". The only way to clear this is to quit the program and then open it
again. This happens both at work using a network that is always
connected to DSL and at home with airport and cable modem. What's
strange is this problem does not happen all the time. I can't figure
out what is causing this behavior. Any ideas?

I have found since I've upgraded to Panther a few problems with e-mail
and Entourage. When the system comes out of sleep it doesn't
recognize the cable modem connection immediately and I get on the odd
occassion a message that says no network connection and then three
boings. I turned off that error message sound. The next send and
receive though will get the mail. The first rarely does. I've also
noticed that if I open a mail message that is HTML for some reason the
processor goes full open (I have a monitor). Switch to a text message
though and this doesn't happen.

I think Microsoft needs to work on Entourage for the Mac as these are
annoying problems.

Since these problems don't occur with Entourage on Panther but do on Jaguar,
don't you think it's possible that *Apple* is the cause of these problems
and not Microsoft?
