Entourage kept quitting when I tried to receive mail (click Send/Receive).
After going through the litanies of rebuilding the directory, repairing the
disc, etc., I simply followed the techniques provided in The Entourage Help
Page, Crashes and Hangs, found at http://entourage.mvps.org/
troubleshoot/send_receive/crashes_hangs.html:
1. Shut off the Junk Mail Filter
2. Disable all your rules
3. Now see if you can download the message
I also deleted all Junk Mail before shutting off the Junk Mail Filter.
