Entourage 11 and IMAP

Whenever I try to connect to my local IMAP server using Entourage 11 under
OS X 10.3.5, I get Error -17495:

'The IMAP server's response was missing the expected command and was not
understandable'.

Connecting to the same server using Entourage v.X under OS X 10.2.8 works
fine.

Any idea why this is?

I would delete the account and re-enter the info. Be careful not to add any
extra spaces.

If you still have problems, you can install tcpflow to see what Entourage is
actually saying to the server.
