Entourage 12.0.1 & Blackberry get out of

I have recently upgraded to Entourage 12.0.1 and since doing so messages in the Entourage inbox no longer match those on my Blackberry phone.

It appears to be a problem when messages are deleted or moved from the inbox in Entourage they remain on the phone. When you look on Outlook or with Web Mail they are gone, but they remain on the phone. If you do deletions or moves with Web Mail or Outlook they reflect immediately on the phone.

(if you open a mail on Entourage it shows as read on the phone and visa versa).

I read that there is a bug in Entourage that deletes the "mail id" which Blackberry (BES) uses to track the message and thus they get out of sync.

I was also told there might be a server side issue on Exchange or BES, but our IT people can't trace anything. The fact that Outlook and the Web Mail client do not exhibit the same problem indicates to them that there is an Entourage problem.

Any ideas?

We moved from a goodlink messaging system to BlackBerry's in March of this year. The sync issue came up immediately, but have not time to address this until now.

I am having the exact same issue with my BlackBerry clients. I walked through an hours worth of trouble-shooting with a RIM tech an feel the problem is with Entourage and the way it marks the email message for deletion. I am currently trying to work with different mail account setups to see if I can get better results.

This is also happening with our Entourage 2004 clients as well.

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks, very much. I am still experiencing the problem and seem no closer to finding a solution - it appears to be an Entourage issue, but to solve it we are now contracting in an MS/Apple expert to come and try to diagnose and hopefully fix it.

I was told by Blackberry that Entourage 2008 won't sync at all with Blackberry and that is what I'm experiencing. How do you get it to do it albeit incorrectly??

Just loaded 12.1.0 (Office SP 1) and the problem appears to be fixed. Messages deleted and/or moved on Entourage get deleted and/or moved from the the Blackberry inbox on the phone (and visa versa still works).
