Entourage 2001 loses telephone numbers in address book

I have had this happen a couple of times and it did it again today. I
opened Entourage 2001 and many (not all) of the telephone numbers are
missing! In the past, I thought it might be related to trying to
synchronize my address book with either my Palm or Mac.com, but I
haven't synchronized it lately.

Tell me that they are just hidden and not lost. Solution?
