Entourage 2001 schedule will not make 6 simultaneous multiple connections to Earthlink email account

Problem:
A "receive" schedule in Ent 2001 on Mac OS 9.x will NOT make
connection to 6 Earthlink email accounts.
It will successfully connect to 5 of the accounts, but will send an
error message regarding the last of the accounts in the schedule.
See error 7008 message below.

However, a "receive" schedule WILL make connection to 5 Earthlink
email accounts without problem.

Could not retrieve mail from the account "[email protected]."


Explanation
The server returned the following error

Too many simultaneous connections from 216.175.96.147. Check the
username/password or security settings.

Why can't I download from all 6 earthlink accounts at once?

Can this problem be fixed?

Note that Earthlink says it's Entourage's problem, not there's.
