Entourage 2004 Address Book and Contacts with Only a CompanyName...???

Why doesn¹t Entourage¹s Address Book sort entries with only a company name
properly in the Name column? I¹ve got several entries where I just have the
company name ­ for example, my HMO, the local Apple Store, my gym, etc.
Address Book puts the company name in the ³Name² column of the Address Book,
but doesn¹t sort them. This gets very confusing when I sync to my phone via
Salling¹s MobileSync, which puts them all at the end of my S-E T637¹s phone
book, after the entries with full names. Is this a known bug?

Yes, and very annoying. Before 2004, Entourage never entered the company
name of a "nameless" contact in the Name column at all, and all "nameless"
contacts all sat up at the top. Now Entourage will enter, in this order as
a field is non-empty: nickname, company, email address, IM address. But
they're not sorted amongst the other contacts (as Apple's Address Book does
it). They still sit there at the top.

The workaround is to copy the company name into the Last Name field for
nameless contacts. Same with email address, if that's all there is, etc.

Hmmm.

What makes this odder is that when syncing to my Palm OS 5 device,
everything is sorted properly.

Wasn¹t Microsoft going to deliver an updated Palm conduit to support the
features in Palm OS 5 (such as multiple addresses, categories, etc)?

Sign me up; I have the same problem with the Treo 650 I purchased this
week. I posted a reply to a topic last updated in May reporting the
same problem. I've since found this much more recent thread so now I
know the problem still exists :-(

A brother in pain....
