Entourage 2004 - all menus are grayed out!

I just installed Entourage 2004; it worked fine for a day or so, but all of
a sudden I see that every drop-down menu besides the left-most Entourage
menu (like File, Edit, View, Messge, etc.) are all grayed out! I restarted
Entourage but the problem remains. What do I do?!?

Usually, restarting Entourage will clear up problems like this. Restarting
your computer might also help. With problem like this you need to determine
where the problem is located. The first thing to try is to create a new
blank Identity under Entourage "Switch Identity". If the problem is gone,
then your database has problems. If the problem exists then switch Users in
the Finder and test Entourage under a new User. If the problems are gone
this would point to your User's folder. A conflict with an application or
corrupt preferences. If the problem exists in a new User then you need to
reinstall Office and perhaps do an Archive and Install of the OS.
