Entourage 2004 and 2008 not communicating changes to Exchange

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel
Email Client: Exchange

I don't know how else to explain this one. When I move my mail around in Entourage 2008 (and I had the same problem in 2004) the changes do not come across to the Exchange server.
Example: I have an "Archive" folder and many of my mail, once addressed, goes in it. I can file those messages away all day long but when I go hom and open Outlook 2003 or OWA, nothing has changed. I have to refile everything. Anyone know what that is about? Thanks,
Brad

Can you verify that you are indeed connecting to your Exchange Server as
an Exchange client and not a POP or IMAP client?

Does this happen with any of your mail folders or just a few?

If just a few then right-click those folders and select Folder
Properties. Click the Empty button to empty the cache of that folder and
then allow Entourage to resynchronize.

If this happens widespread then I suggest creating a new identity
(Entourage --> Switch Identity...) and recreating your Exchange account
there. If this works then you should continue using the new identity.
Rules and Signatures files can be copied manually to the new identity
form the old one. You'll find them in your home folder
"~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2008 Identities".

Hope this helps!
