Yes, Entourage 2004 is Entourage 11, (X is a Latin 10 as in MacOS X)

I have entourage 2004 and need to set an auto reply saying I am out of the office from Feb 23, 2008 - march 1. I will not have access tomy computer and need tho let the sender know I am out of the office. How do I do this?

Note that this means leaving your computer online and reading/replying to
mail for that week. Are you sure you want to do that? You should check to
see if your provider offers a server-based auto-response system. Exchange
servers offer this, for example, but you can't configure it with Entourage
2004.

Microsoft Entourage does not provide an "Out of Office Assistant" for
setting an automatic response to messages you receive while you are out of
the office; however, it is possible to set up such an automatic response in
one of three ways.

Use Outlook Web Access
Configure a rule in Microsoft Entourage
Use a third party application

I'm currently on Office 2004 and my entourage version is Version X 10.0.0.

Now, somehow I have to miraculously get to 11.2.1 or later as a minimum - what's the best way of doing this?

If you have Office 2004, how come your version of Entourage is version X
10.0.0? Are you sure you are not using Office v.X, which is v.2004's
predecessor? In that case, you will need to download the 10.1.9 updater,
which you can find here:

If you really are using Office 2004 and you are using the version of
Entourage that shipped with it, you can do the following:

* run Microsoft AutoUpdate in your Applications folder a couple of times
until all the available updates have been applied.

* go to Mactopia <http://www.microsoft.com/mac/>,then download and apply the
following updates:
-11.3.5
-11.3.6
-11.3.7
-11.3.8
-11.3.9
-11.4.0
-11.4.1

If you install the 10.1.9 updater, Entourage should be at version 10.1.9, if
I remember correctly. You cannot get Entourage v.X from 10.x.x to 11.x.x, as
"11" indicates Office 2004, which is an entirely different Office suite. To
get to Office 2004, you will need to buy an upgrade; alternatively, you
could skip Office 2004 and upgrade to the latest version, Office 2008.
