All of the PowerBook G4 laptop computers that we have purchased over
the last month do not download messages from our Exchange 2003
servers. Right out of the box, I've put Office 2004 (full install) on
the Mac. When I setup Entourage with the Exchange settings, it takes
a long time to verify, but it finally does. Then my mailbox folders
do not show up in my folder list. It is as if the computer is
authenticated, but the messages/data doesn't make it to the Mac. Has
anyone experienced this?
On a side note, the Mac laptops that previously had Office:X and the
Entourage updates for Office X, worked fine after the upgrade to
Office 2004. I actually uninstalled Office 2004 from an older Mac G4,
and reinstalled Office 2004 on the older Mac using the same settings
that failed on my new laptop. It worked great! The only thing I can
guess is that the previous version of Entourage carried over some
special settings or files during the upgrade, which makes Office 2004
work fine.
Please help. I'll try installing the Office X, the X updates, and
then upgrade it next week if nobody can determine a solution to my
problem.
Thanks in advance!!!
