Entourage 2004 and Exchange 2003

All,

Does anyone have experience using Entourage 2004 an Exchange server 2003?
Doing some cursory research has revealed that the older versions of Exchange
and Entourage were riddled with problems and my fear is that these issues
have not been resolved. What limitations (i.e. Features not supported) does
Entourage 2004 have with Exchange and what nightmares may I be expecting
trying this solution?

Thanks in advance for your help,

-Erik

It would be far easier to list what Exchange features Entourage supports vs.
what it does not support. When considering Entourage for your use, you need
to list what proprietary Exchange features you actually use.

Some web sites that you should start with are:

http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/entourage2004/entourage2004.aspx?pid=exup2004

We have been using Entourage 2004 and Exchange 2003 via a hosted server. To
date, we have not been able to get delegation working at all, and months of
working with our ASP and scouring this newsgroup have not yielded any
results. I have been unable to find anyone who has this working at all, and
our ASP says that the highly-touted delegation feature just does not work.
Period.

Unfortunately, Entourage seems to think it is working (it says it is
synchronizing data with the accounts for which I am a delegate), but the
account folder is completely empty. I should note that these same delegate
relationships are functioning well under Outlook 2003. To look at
Microsoft's own material, you would think they have this all working well;
no one I've asked has yet admitted that delegates are working for them.

Tasks are not synchronized with the Exchange server. It is unfortunate, but
Entourage's Project Center (one of its strongest features, I think) has no
counterpart in Outlook; I cannot say I've worked with this at all, however,
to see how project data can be shared, if at all, via other means.

There are many things I love about Entourage, and I thought that by finally
giving in to using Microsoft Exchange we were finally going to have our
collaboration needs met, but I was completely wrong on that one.

All that having been said, I am completely open to having someone tell me
how wrong I am, that delegates are working in their implementation of
Entourage, and what their setups look like. No knights in shining armor yet,
though, and all the advice I've received has been of the "been there, done
that" variety.
